Quicknr 1.4.0

Latest upgrade to Quicknr brings a new Tools mode, accessed as a commandline -t toggle, offering two commands:

  • Delete a news post: Delete all files, links and records of a news post, locally and from the server.
  • Upgrade 'config.txt' file to latest version: Use this after upgrading to a new Quicknr release, to copy latest 'config.txt' contents to a website, while keeping existing preferences.

More flexible dating of news posts with a new optional feature: date of a news post can be obtained from the first word of the source filename, if it is in numerical YYYYMMDD format, like so: 20161231-party-time.txt.

In addition, there's improved support for Javascript. Links that call Javascript functions can now be made with <span> rather than <a> tags. And you can now set a folder of your Javascript libraries for copying into every new website.

In a related development, I have forked Chris Hulbert's Javascript Date Picker, and modernised its interface. You can see the date picker in action in one of my web samples.
